Associate Pastor, Dr. Buck Oliphant

Buck Oliphant was born in Manes, Missouri and spent his first fifteen years on a farm. He graduated from Wichita State University with a B.A., Wheaton College with an M.A. and Drew University with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
He married his college sweetheart, Lynn, in 1967 and they have been blessed with seven children and eight grandchildren.
Buck has served as a youth leader with Young Life and in Presbyterian churches in Wichita, Kansas, and Seattle, Washington. He moved from Youth Director to Christian Education Director in 1984 when they moved to Houston. He then served as an assistant pastor at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church for its first three years. Buck now returns to Christ Presbyterian after taking eleven years to pastor Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Katy, Texas. He recently retired from the pulpit but not from the ministry.
