Richard Harris, along with his wife, Alicia, and their daughter, Lily, joined our church family in the summer of 2008. Richard serves as our Director of Single Adults.
Richard grew up on a farm in Georgia. He came to know Christ as a freshman at Valdosta State University through a campus ministry. VSU is not only where Richard earned a B.S. in Secondary Ed./Math, but it is also where he met his bride, Alicia. Immediately after college in August 2003, Alicia and Richard got married and began working for Campus Outreach (CO), an interdenominational college ministry, on campuses in Georgia and Florida. During the next four years of ministry, they helped to pioneer a new campus ministry on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.
During his second year on staff with CO, Richard sensed God calling him to seminary and then the call was confirmed through several open doors that were needed to make it all come together. Richard continued to work for CO at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL while he worked on his Master of Divinity degree at Reformed Theological Seminary.
Their first daughter, Lillian (Lily) was born in September 2006, and their second daughter, Savannah, was born in October 2008. Richard and Alicia are extremely excited about the opportunity be a part of Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
