Each month, Children’s Ministries needs 120 helpers and teachers on Sunday mornings. Will you be part of the team that teaches our children about the love of Jesus? Make a lasting impact for Christ’s Kingdom! You will find descriptions of all the Sunday morning opportunities to serve below. Please prayerfully consider your calling to change a child’s life, then contact Molly Williams to be part of the team.
This is a once a month commitment to attend the security/ registration desks outside the Nurturey and preschool areas. Volunteers check in visitors and assist parents as needed. Volunteers are needed during both the Sunday school and Worship hours.
CARE GIVERS
Many loving hands are needed to hold and love our small precious ones. Volunteers serve in either the Sunday school or Worship hours.
TEACHERS
We have teaching teams for each age group from 2 year olds through Kindergarten. We attempt to staff each team with at least 4 adults so that each teacher has a week off each month. We use Gospel Light curriculum, a fun, hands-on curriculum that is very teacher friendly and requires little preparation. All teachers are required to attend a security training session and quarterly training during the year.
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP
We need teams to lead our preschool Children’s Worship once a month during the worship service. The children learn about God and how much he loves them through active praise music, puppet shows and Bible story time, among others. We would love to have more adults join these teams.
TEACHERS
We have teaching teams for each age group from first through fifth grade. We would like to have at least 2 couples per grade. All teachers are required to attend a security training session and quarterly training during the year.
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP
We need teams to lead Children’s Worship for our first–third graders. The children go to the Worship Service with their families and are dismissed to Children’s Worship before the sermon. Volunteers commit to lead elementary Children’s Worship once a month. Leaders leave the service with the children and lead them in a short service to reveal God’s truth in a way they can better understand.
SONSATIONAL SUNDAY
On the last Sunday of each month the elementary children participate in a large group/small group time where they will learn about Jesus, meet mighty men and women of the Bible, learn about the power of prayer and how to live their faith in the real world. Volunteers can sign up to help once a month, once a quarter or once a semester. Everything will be prepared for you so all you have to do is show up!
